RGT Cycling
Online Event

Sadly we can't be at the Cape Rouleur this year but instead we are jumping on our smart trainers and will be (virtually) riding the actual event Prologue.  All welcome - Free and Premium Hotchillee Members, current and previous Cape Rouleur riders - a great way to catch up and reminisce about cycling in the wonderful Western Cape. We've uploaded the route to RGT as a Magic Road, allowing us to ride the Prologue together. Anyone with a smart turbo and an RGT account can take part in the ride. If you do not have an RGT account you can set one up for free and join us this Sunday at 08:30 GMT for a 45 minute social warm up around the Cape Town Waterfront, followed by a 7.2km lung busting effort!

A weekly 45-minute Yoga Flow class led by Adele Smyth. The class is focussed on the cyclist, however if you have no experience that is absolutely fine as the class will be tailored to everyone’s needs. A great way to start your week and to help you feel energised for the day ahead.

RGT Cycling

Join Hotchillee’s Sven Thiele for a 60-minute recovery ride.  If you are new to virtual cycling and/or RGT this will be a social pace where you can get familiar with the dos and don’ts.  We will stick together throughout.  And even if you are use to virtual riding and just want a social recovery ride then everyone is welcome!

Join Hotchillee Ride Captain ‘Capt’ for an hour’s workout aka ‘Dawn Patrol’.

An express 45-minute Pilates session led by Adele Smyth. The class is focussed on the cyclist, however if you have no experience that is absolutely fine as the class will be tailored to everyone’s needs.

Cape Town

Club ride out on Giel Basson Road left onto Bosmansdam Road right onto Koeberg Rd, then onto cycle lane to Big Bay with 3 laps of the Big Bay Crit and back the same way. 50-55km, 200m. Average speed ~27-30km/h.

Zwift

Join Ride Captain Rachel Przybylski for an hour’s workout.

The Gain Train is now a Thursday evening Hotchillee institution and a brilliant and social way to get a top quality high intensity workout in. The original Hare and Hounds format with three Classes set off at 5-minute intervals format covering 35km on a variety of routes. The typical Class Paces are:

First Class: 3.5 - 4 w/kg
Second Class: 2.5 - 3 w/kg
Buffet Class: 2 w/kg
