TTEC Sponsors Young Rider Prologue at Cape Rouleur

The much-loved Young Rider Prologue is back at the Cape Rouleur 2024, delivered with the kind support of Ttec.

Since our very first Cape Rouleur in 2012, Hotchillee has always been driven to inspire and improve local cycling initiatives in the communities and townships of Cape Town.

In association with the excellent Buffalo Foundation, we’re helping underprivileged youth riders to attend local academies where they ride their bikes, grow in confidence, and achieve better academic success through additional lessons.

Nic-Dlamini

The story of Nic Dlamini, former World Tour pro and first black South African to ride in the Tour de France, is a fine example of how life-changing the Hotchillee Young Rider Programme can be, and we’re delighted to announce that it’s back for 2024, made possible by the kind support of Ttec.

The prize? Two talented local youth riders will join us on our LONDON-PARIS Road event in June 2024.

A CELEBRATION OF LOCAL TALENT

For the first time… it’s not a race!

We’ve made some small but significant changes to how our prologue works this year. While it was originally a short time trial against the clock, we’ve decided to make it more fun on the day.

Selected academy riders will set off on the 7.6km course from Franschhoek, following a rolling parcours out-and-back to the Berg River Dam. With no timing chips the focus will be on inclusivity and fun. Riders are welcome to use Strava to log their times on the segment if they wish.

The 30 talented local youths are all worthy winners in our eyes, and so the prize winners will be drawn from a hat straight after the prologue. We anticipate much excitement at the prospect of joining us on LONDON-PARIS Road. Who will it be?!!?

“We’re delighted to have Ttec on board to help deliver this initiative, and when it comes to the ethos of the event – they’re the perfect fit.”
