SAMPLE ITINERARY 1 – TIMBAVATI GAME RESERVE
A 4-Night Safari to the Timbavati Game Reserve, South Africa

Bonamy will collect you from your Cape Town accommodation on March 11th, the day after the Cape Town Cycle Tour. After a short 2.5hr flight, you’ll arrive the Timbavati Game Reserve that makes up part of the Greater Kruger. Settle in at the stunning Rockfig Safari Lodge and enjoy a late lunch before heading out on safari that afternoon.
Situated in a brilliant private game reserve, you’ll head out on game drives and walking safaris with the lodge’s fantastic guides. Over four days, you’ll have an amazing opportunity to see the Big 5, plus so much more.
Back at the lodge, dine on the sumptuous cuisine, enjoy the spa, and relax after your action-packed week of riding.
After your four nights on safari, Bonamy will fly you back down to Cape Town where you’ll collect your bike and cycling kit before boarding your international flight home.
SAMPLE ITINERARY 2 – BOTSWANA
A 6-Night Safari to Botswana’s Central Kalahari and Okavango Delta.
Bonamy will fly you to the Central Kalahari, where you’ll spend three nights exploring the seemingly otherworldly ecosystem. Head out on game drives and walking safaris to discover the flora and fauna of the region, and you’ll have the opportunity to spend time with San Bushmen to learn about their culture and how they survive in this incredibly arid environment.
The next stop is a short flight to the world-renowned Okavango Delta, the jewel in Botswana’s safari crown. Staying at another beautiful and small camp, you’ll head out into the Delta on game drives and in mokoro (small dug-out canoe) to get a completely different perspective on the African bush. On your final day in the Delta, you’ll head up in a helicopter for a 30-minute ‘doors off’ scenic flight over the waterways – the most amazing way to end your time in Africa.
Finally, after your six nights in Botswana, Bonamy will fly you back down to Cape Town where you’ll collect your bike and cycling kit before boarding your international flight home.
