British Summer Time means Surrey Gravel Time

Evening gravel rides are back!

As the clocks go forward it’s time for some knobbly tyre fun on some of Surrey’s best secret trails. Back for its fourth year is the legendary Hotchillee and Sigma Sports Evening Gravel Ride Series.

For those of you who’ve not joined us before there’s something for everyone, but they’re especially good if you’re new to the rough stuff.

Here’s what you need to know….

When?

Monthly from April until September.

How far?

They’ll typically be a 25km and a 35km route taking in the woodland single-track, tow-paths, bridleways and fire-roads of Surrey.

How fast?

There will be varying ability groups:

Beginner (25km route)

Intermediate (25km and 35km route)

More Experienced (35km route)

All groups will be led by Hotchillee Ride Captains and no riders will be left behind.

Where?

The rides will start at the Sigma Sports store at Hampton Wick and finish at Giro Cafe in Esher, where there will be coffee, beer and food available.

What bike?

Gravel, MTB, e-Bikes or (if it’s dry) even a road bike with wider knobbly tyres.

Parking

We’d encourage you to cycle or get the train to our rides, but if you’re driving we suggest you park near the finish venue and then cycle to the start.

Anything else I need to know?

Rides are free and all are welcome. Bring lights and a spirit of adventure.
