London, UK.
Global Cycling Community Hotchillee joins forces with UMUK (Ultraman UK) – the UK’s only Ultraman-distance event which takes place in North Wales from 3rd to 5th September 2021.
The new Hotchillee app is hosting the community of UMUK endurance athletes as they prepare for what is considered one of the toughest ultra-distance staged triathlons in the world.
UMUK athletes can download the Hotchillee app and prepare for the event in a dedicated private area where all the latest details, information, instructions and releases about the event will be made available. In addition, UMUK athletes will get access to all Hotchillee Premium members benefits free of charge until the end of Sept 2021.
As part of the relationship, Hotchillee will feature on the new UMUK race shirts and tri kit which is available to buy via mutual clothing partner, Kalas.
Registration benefits from Hotchillee are only available by contacting Richard Groome.
Thousands of people do triathlons and Ironman events each year but there are only a handful of ultraman-distance events anywhere in the world and only one in the UK – this combined with the stunning scenery of Snowdonia and the camaraderie between everyone involved, marks UMUK out as a truly unique event.
UMUK is one of the world’s toughest but also most rewarding ultra-distance triathlons. It is a competitive event, but the real goal is for all entrants to cross the finish line on Day 3 and to become a member of a very select club.
Whilst there is a base level of fitness required to tackle Ultraman, it’s designed to be as inclusive and attainable as possible. So, whether you’re thinking of entering as an individual or as part of a team, with desire, commitment and perseverance, that finish line is within your reach. We have had people who have never run an ultramarathon finish the whole event on the podium and conversely, we have had experienced ultra-distance athletes fail to finish.
The event takes place over three (3) days in early September, which is a truly stunning time of the year in North Wales.
There are three ways to take part:
A 515km (320 miles) three-day race which includes 6500m of climbing (21,500ft)
Each day starts at 7am and competitors need to be back at the race HQ by 7pm.
A more than Ironman 355km (220 mile) three-day event covering some of the same routes as UMUK 515.
Covering the same course as the solo UMUK 515, the team relay is an ideal opportunity for a team of friends, seasoned ultra-runners, swimmers and cyclists – there is no requirement to have done a triathlon to enter the team relay.
Full details of how to enter any of the events along with all of the FAQs can be found at http://www.racingquest.co.uk
