We’ve teamed up with our friends Back Up for another #NoLimits ride. This year we’ll be raising vital funds by riding as far as possible during the weekend of the 4 – 5 September 2021.
As always Team Hotchillee have set their sights high and, as a team, we’re aiming to ride the circumference of the Earth… 29,000km over two days… and for that, we need you!
You can take part in your own area, join us for a virtual or outdoor ride (top-secret plans to be announced soon) or join the Hotchillee Ride Captains for a ride at Goodwood Motor Circuit on Sunday 5 September… all you need to do is pedal!
Register today, join Team Hotchillee and your kilometres that weekend will count towards our total. Entry costs £5 and there’s no fundraising obligation after that, but you can also set your own target if you’re up for the challenge.
You’ll need to select if you’re joining the ride at Goodwood or if you’d like to buy a jersey (or both!) at registration. You’ll also need to join the Hotchillee team for the kilometres to count!
You can select your Goodwood entry or your jersey as your Registration Type by clicking the drop down menu and selecting tab 3. You’ll have the option to select your size on the next page of the registration form. Hand cyclist jerseys without back pockets are also available.
Underneath where you select your Registration Type, you’ll have the option to join or create a team. You’ll need to click join, and then start typing Hotchillee to find us!
Back Up inspire people affected by spinal cord injury to get the most out of life.
For over 30 years, they’ve helped people and their families to rebuild their independence after a devastating spinal cord injury. Their award-winning, practical services challenge the perceptions of what’s possible and increase people’s skills and confidence.
Our relationship with Back Up began way back in 2012, when we welcomed Back Up trustee Danny Turnbull and a team of hand cyclists onto the Hotchillee LONDON-PARIS for the first time. Sadly, Danny lost his battle with cancer in 2017, and since then we’ve shared the road with Back Up, raising funds in his memory many times, with challenges ranging from the 60 strong #NoLimits group riding the LONDON-PARIS in 2018 to Hotchillee Ride Captain Juliette Clark’s epic 1800 km (on rollers!) #SpinalCircuit last year.
Glen is usually behind the scenes making sure that the Hotchillee Ride Captains and event participants have fully functioning bicycles to ride but he occasionally makes an appearance in front of the camera to share his wisdom. If he’s not fixing or building bikes he’ll be out riding in #SweetSussex. If you want to know anything about Cyclocross, Glen is the man to ask.
