Rideouts

Join the first Hotchillee monthly Surrey Rideout of 2023

Bed to shed is always the toughest bit of any winter ride but, if you know you’ll be meeting other riders, riding a great route and that friendly chat is guaranteed, it’s always easier to find the motivation to ride.

Our free and open to all Rideouts, in partnership with Hotchillee’s 2023 Nutrition Provider, Nurhu, are the perfect way to break the spell of the duvet on a winter’s morning and get out on your bike.

When is it?

Sunday 29th January – meeting for coffee, tea and pre-ride chat at 0815 for a 0900 roll-out.

Where do we meet?

Imber Court, Ember Lane, Surrey, KT8 0BT

What routes are there?

There will be two road routes – 76km and 66km and two gravel routes – 44km and 31km.

How fit do I need to be?

All fitness and experience levels are welcome and we’ll help you find the right small group for your ability.

Anything else I need to know?

You’ll be riding for 2-3 hours so make sure you have adequate fluids and fuel for this length of ride. If you’re unsure about this, check out these top tips from former Great Britain Cycling Team, Team Sky and EF Education First nutritionist Nigel Mitchell.

Although the Hotchillee Ride Captains will be riding amongst the groups, Hotchillee Rideouts are not fully supported or formally led rides. You’ll need to have the route loaded on your GPS device (this will be made available before the ride), your bike should be well maintained and you should have the basic spares and tools to be self-sufficient.

What if I don’t live in Surrey?

Don’t panic, we’re planning other Rideouts in other locations as we move into the spring. Get on the Hotchillee Community App, check out the #rideouts_by_hotchillee group , let us know where you are and that you’re up for a ride.
