2023 climbing events launched

Calling All Mountain Goats!

Hotchillee climbing epics for 2023 announced!

If your idea of cycling heaven is soaring peaks, lung-busting climbs and exhilarating high speed descents, we’ve got two tantalising offerings to tempt you with.

For roadie purists, the Italian Dolomites is a place of cycling pilgrimage and that’s where we’re heading for our Alpine Challenge 2023. The list of classic passes that you’ll be tackling over the three stages reads like a journey through cycling history. Over the three Stages you’ll ascend almost 8000m and big must-ride ticks include the Passo Giau and the Passo Fedaia where you’ll be riding in the tyre tracks of legends.

If you’re more of a gravel grinding goat, we’re returning to Switzerland for our Suisse Gravel Explorer. The three Stages tot up to 175km, you’ll be logging close to 5500m of ascent and topping out at 2000m altitude. You’ll either be tackling gruelling off-road Alpine climbs or flying down technical descents – there’s not a lot of flat to catch your breath!

Extraordinary experiences!

As you’d expect from Hotchillee events, on both of these epics you’ll get a pro-level cycling support, but building on previous years, both these events have been designed as a boutique experience for 2023.

Expect carefully designed routes, top-notch lunch stops and high level support, just in smaller ride groups.

After each stage you’ll hand your bike to our experienced mechanics and relax, before a delicious 3-course meal of local menu choices including wine, where “sitting at the table becomes a dinner party”.

How will you choose? Or do both!

So, whether you opt for the iconic roads and daunting limestone summits of the Italian Dolomites or the trails and picture postcard beauty of the Swiss Alps, we’ve got you covered.

Or, we wonder, are there any riders with the legs to tackle the 12500m – almost 1.5 “Everests”, of both?
