Out Ride the Ride Captain – New Monthly Strava Challenge With Prizes to be Won!

Out ride a HotChillee Ride Captain for a chance to win prizes from our partners every month!

New for 2019, we’re launching a monthly challenge for our community from the HotChillee Ride Captains. Each month, one of the Ride Captain team will pick a cycling based challenge, to be recorded on Strava, for a chance to win a prize from one of the HotChillee partners or HotChillee Ride Captain sponsors!

March’s Winner

We have our first prize rollover! Nib’s challenge to ride the furthest in 24 hours was always going to be tough but in the end he finished with a 302.7 km ride last week! The only person to ride further was Head Ride Captain Juliette, with a whopping 340 km ride (!) but she has thrown the prize back in the pot, giving you another chance to win the RawVelo nutrition bundle in April!

April Challenge

Commuters, this one is for you! To be in with a chance to win a RawVelo nutrition bundle, all you need to do is commute to (and from) work by bicycle on ALL 20 working days this April and beat Ride Captain Gareth’s total commute only km’s in the process! This may require you getting a little creative with your route…

Gareth will also be doing some pre/ post- work laps. Keep an eye on his Twitter and Instagram to find out times and locations and feel free to join him to get those all important extra kilometres in!

The RawVelo nutrition bundle will contain 20 x RawVelo bars, 20 x RawVelo gels, a bidon and a musette.

Don’t forget to join the HotChillee Strava Club! Your rides must be posted on Strava and marked as a commute to count. If you have any questions then please contact amy@hotchillee.com.

If multiple people beat Gareth, then the challenger who commutes the furthest will win! If no one wins, then the prize will roll over to another challenge. Full T&Cs can be found below.

April’s Challenger…

An Irishman in London, but working in Stockholm … Gareth came to cycling after a previous life playing rugby and hockey. He has since graduated from commuting to cyclosportives, and onto multi-stage endurance road events. A Ride Captain since 2012, Gareth is known as much for his, “conversation than his cadence” (his own words) and his calm command of the peloton has helped many riders make it through a HotChillee challenge. A Managing Director at Accenture, Gareth made London his home twenty five years ago and loves social media more than his teenage daughters do.
